Title: " Quiet Rage: The Stanford Prison Experiment "
This program documents the landmark study on the power of social situations in which Philip Zimbardo created a mock prison and divided students into two groups prisoners and guards. The video shows how the behavior of the groups rapidly conformed to their assigned roles. It begins with updated footage of Zimbardo escorting current college students through the mock prison. The color footage then fades to black and white as original archival footage takes viewers through the chronology of this experiment that had to be terminated after only six days. The video concludes with post-experimental interviews with prisoners and guards.
